The latest news on the publication front is that my Nelson Thornes Shakespeare is selling very well in Jamaica in a specially adapted version for that market:
Nelson Thornes Shakespeare for CSEC.
It's pretty much the same as the British version. "Macbeth" and "The Merchant of Venice" are the two that have been sold so far because of the syllabus there.

Martha and John by Dinah Jurksaitis (published by Cornelson Verlag)

This is a short novel about two children who survive in the woods by themselves for a year. It is published in English but has a German glossary of vocabulary for senior students in the Gymnasium. There is a second edition with a Polish glossary for students learning English in Poland.

A new edition of Shakespeare, mainly for GCSE and AS level students is now out in May 2003, published by Nelson Thornes. (Tel:01242 267 276)
General Editors - Dinah Jurksaitis and Duncan Beal. The series this year includes: Romeo and Juliet - Duncan Beal ISBN 0-7487-6956-0
Macbeth - Dinah Jurksaitis ISBN 0-7487-6955-2
Julius Caesar - Mark Morris ISBN 0-7487-6959-5
The Tempest - Dave Stone ISBN 0-7487-6958-7
The Merchant of Venice - Tony Farrell ISBN 0-7487-6957-9

In August 2004 the following titles were added to the series:
Midsummer Night's Dream - Dinah Jurksaitis
Much Ado About Nothing - Lawrence Green
Othello - Steven Croft
Anthony and Cleopatra - Tony Farrell

There is a student text of the play, with a full glossary, hints about dramatic presentation, suggestions for comparisons within the text and 5 introductory essays, which explain and discuss background material to the plays.
There is also a Teachers' Resource book for each title, which includes around 60 photocopiable sheets of lesson plans, background details, and coursework suggestions with sample plans. This is aimed at a fairly high level, top GCSE and A Level, although some of the sheets are also suitable for younger classes.
